Picher - Ghost Town
Picher is today a ghost town. After zinc and lead were mined on a large scale in the 1970s, a large area around the city was contaminated.
The authorities decided in 2007 to resettle the inhabitants of the city.
After the city was hit by a tornado in 2008, no one lives in Picher anymore.
