The Americans have a tendency always have everything bigger and better than others. So, it is not surprising that there are many oversized statues those act as advertising figures in most cases. Let’s call them American Giants.

These include the well-known Muffler Men, Big John figures of the eponymous supermarket chain, but also the Uniroyal Girl, which advertises the world-famous tires. At home in Minnesota and North Dakota is Paul Bunyan, who can be found in several variations.

There are also a number of giants that cannot be assigned to a group, as these are either modifications of known statues or simply individually designed as a single piece and have been partly built in-house.

In this jungle of American giants, I would like to bring a little clarity and get you closer to the different characters. Not at least, because I love these giants so much, myself.
