Polk-A-Dot Drive In
In 1956, Chester Fife had a school bus painted in rainbow Polk a dots. This was his first restaurant.
In 1962, he moved the business into the current building, in Braidwood, which today is a very a popular stop along Route 66.
Outside are Fiberglass figures of Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Betty Boop, James Dean, and the Blues Brothers.
New is a giant Superman Statue. (2019)
You can eat from 11-8. Otherwise just take pics of the fiberglass statues.
