Bahá'í Temple
The Bahá’í House of Worship ( Bahá’í Temple) is located in Wilmette. It is one of ten dedicated temples of the Bahá’í Faith, and the oldest surviving Bahá’í House of Worship in the world.
In 1978, the Temple was added to the National Register of Historic Places. The building has become a popular destination for tourists. The Illinois Office of Tourism has named it one of the “Seven Wonders of Illinois”.
We found the temple quite by accident, when we were around for a day, near Denver Airport.
