The Bean
The Bean is the central artwork at AT & T Square in the Millennium Park of Chicago. The sculpture was created between 2004 and 2006 and it is shaped like a bean. It has been welded from 168 stainless steel plates, is highly polished and has no visible seams.
The measurements are 66 ft × 33 ft × 42 ft and it weighs 99.8 tonnes.
The bean is very popular – daily 1000 people from all over the world, are taking pictures of the nice piece of modern art.
