Abe Lincoln - Illinois State Fair - Springfield

This statue of young Abraham Lincoln stands in front of the Illinois Exhibits building at Gate 1 of the State Fair Grounds.
If you want to take pictures just drive through the gate.

He is about 30 feet tall. He is thin and gawky and hee holds an ax. He was bulit 1968, by Carl W. Rinnus, a Springfield native artits.

His official name is “The Rail Splitter”.
