Lake Pontchartrain Causeway

The Lake Pontchartrain Causeway is a bridge that consists of two parallel road bridges that cross Lake Pontchartrain north of New Orleans and Metairie, a suburb of New Orleans in the Jefferson Parish, associate with Mandeville on the north shore of the lake in the St. Tammany Parish. Lake Pontchartrain Causeway was the world’s longest bridge when it opened.
