State Capitol Nebraska
In 1920 the New York based Architect Bertram Grosvenor Goodhue won the nationwide design competition to design the Nebraska State Capitol.
The present building was the nation’s first statehouse which departs from the prototypical form of the nation’s capitols. The building has no Dome, like most capitol buildings, instead it has a tower.
It was constructed in four phases over ten years from 1922-1932.
