Amish Arces - Nappanee

1839 the widow Barbara Stahly and her five sons migrated from Germany to the southwest corner of Elkhart County.
according to University of Chicago historian James Landing they were the first Amish settlers in Indiana.

Today you can experience the restoration of the Stahly-Nisley-Kuhns farmstead.

The farm is listed in The National Register of Historic Places.
