Blue Swallow Motel - Tucumcari
The famous motel in the center of Tucumcari has existed since 1993. The neon sign is known far beyond the city and is certainly the most photographed motif in Tucumcari.
In 1998, the motel was bought and prepared by Hilda and Dale Bakke. Today it belongs to the Mueller family.
If you are travelling Route 66, I can highly recommend an overnight stay.
If you don’t want to stay overnight, go talk to the owners and buy a souvenir.
The neon looks particularly beautiful at night.
