Chief Leatherlips Monument

A monument to honor Wyandot Chief Shateyaronyah.
The sphinxlike sculpture is a tribute to him, known as Leatherlips by settlers because when his word was given, it could be trusted—his words were as strong as leather.

The stone sculpture was erected in 1990 it overlooks Scioto Park in Dublin.
