World's Largest Basket - Dresden
The Longaberger Company was an American manufacturer and distributor of handcrafted maple wood baskets and other home and lifestyle products. The company was founded in Dresden. Later they moved to Newark.
To remember they built the World’s Largest Basket in town.
The basket is 48 feet long, 11 feet wide, and 23 feet tall. It is made from 10 hardwood maple trees. It required 2,000 employee hours to construct.
