Metropolis Ghost Town
There is not much left of the once-big city, but what you can still see is the remains of the school and the hotel.
During the early twentieth century, many homesteaders attempted to farm in the Great Basin, especially in western Utah and also in northeastern Nevada.
Founding the town of Metropolis was the project of investors from both Massachusetts and Salt Lake City and Harry L. Pierce, he was from Leominster, Massachusetts.
