Nevada State Route 375, known as the Extraterrestrial Highway, has been the official name since 1996.
Highway 375, or ET Highway for short, is a main road connecting the village of Warm Springs with Crystal Springs.

The road is 98 miles long. The only bigger village along the road is Rachel, where it is possible to make a brief stop at Little A’Le’Inn, a bar decorated with UFO devotional items.

In Crystal Springs are the 3 highlights of the route:

  • ET Fresh Jerkey – a souvenir shop
  • The Welcome Sign
  • Area 51 Souvenirs – a shop with a large metal alien in front

Extraterrestrial Highway

Why extraterrestrial highway? The road will take you along the Nellis Range, where the Area 51 military base is located.
In the late 1980s and early 1990s, many people came to the Tikaboo Valley to observe the test flights over the Groom Lake military base.

The lights that formed there were considered UFO fanatics as evidence of extraterrestrial life. Because it was assumed that secret UFO flights took place there.

As a result, in the end, instead of a few initiates, whole busloads of people set off to see these flights. Suddenly the flights ended.
But the legend of the UFOs in Area 51 went on and still attracts visitors from all over the world.
