Tower Station & motel U-Drop Inn Cafe - Shamrock
The Tower Station and U-Drop Inn Café was built in 1936 by J. M. Tindall and R. C. Lewis.
The Tower Station is an Art Deko Design and was the first commercial business located on Route 66 in Shamrock.
The Tower Staion was a Caonoco Gas Staion and houses the U-Drop Cafe.
In 1999 it was bought by the First National Bank of Shamrock and then handed over to the city of Shamrock. The building has been restored to its original splendor and is one of the most beautiful petrol stations on Route 66.
It is ever since and is one of the most imposing and architecturally creative buildings along of the mother road.
