Vega Motel - Vega

Ervin Pancoast built the Vega Motel (originally Vega Court) on Route 66 in 1947. It was in an era of unprecedented prosperity in the United States and Texas, when leisure and travel was a booming industry. Business was going well. In 1953 the Pancoasts added an east wing with eight units. All new units had private bathrooms and some had kitchenettes. Unfortunately, the hotel was closed in 1964 and never opened again.
